Design Project:

Ometeo Texmexeria

Ometeo is a restaurant serving elevated Tex-Mex cuisine in a family-friendly environment. My design goal for this project was to create a classic and nostalgic illustration style to accompany our own fictional lore about 2 gods, Tex and Mex, of tex-mex cuisine.

Below is a set of “Tex and Mex” mascot characters as well as a collection of Texan and Mexican nature and landscape vignettes used in a large mural and column designs, which were then painted in the restaurant’s interior. Our team’s lead designer for this project was able to utilize these illustrations in nearly every piece of brand collateral, from menus, to matchbooks, to restaurant apparel.
